: not constant nonconstant acceleration especially : having a range that includes more than one value a nonconstant mathematical function.

Is Nonconstant a word?

not constant; changeable; fickle; variable: an inconstant friend.

What is a non constant term in math?

A function is called nonconstant if it takes more than one value (if there is more than one element in its range). For example, the polynomial with the real numbers as domain and codomain is nonconstant. We can show this simply by noting that and , so the function takes at least two different values.

What is an example of a non constant function?

Non-Constant Functions:

The functions that contain a variable in them are known as Non-Constant functions. ... For example f(x)=ax+b f ( x ) = a x + b is a linear non-constant function whose value depends on x.

What is non therapeutic drug use?

: not relating to, being, or providing therapy : not therapeutic … social pressures that encourage the nontherapeutic use of drugs in sports …— Andrew A. Skolnick taking diet pills for nontherapeutic reasons.

What does nonconstant mean?

What is the therapeutic use of a drug?

Therapeutic: Relating to therapeutics, the branch of medicine that is concerned specifically with the treatment of disease. The therapeutic dose of a drug is the amount needed to treat a disease.

What is the therapeutic effect of a drug?

It is defined as an effect that happens beyond the intended primary or chief effect of that prescribed drug. It is defined as the effect or reaction of prescribed medicine that is over and beyond the chief and desired action of that drug. They are temporary and resolve spontaneously.

What is a non constant continuous function?

functions. Let f be a non-constant function that is continuous on [a,b], where a<b. Prove that the range of f is a finite closed interval [c,d], where c<d.

What is non constant acceleration?

Non-uniform acceleration constitutes the most general description of motion. It refers to variation in the rate of change in velocity. Simply put, it means that acceleration changes during motion.

What is the opposite of constants?

constant. Antonyms: irregular, exceptional, variable, casual, accidental, incidental, broken, interrupted, inconstant, fickle, untrustworthy, faithless, treacherous, false. Synonyms: uniform, regular, invariable, perpetual, continuous, firm, fixed, steady, immutable, faithful, true, trustworthy.

What is constant example?

In mathematics, a constant is a specific number or a symbol that is assigned a fixed value. In other words, a constant is a value or number that never changes in expression. Its value is constantly the same. Examples of constant are 2, 5, 0, -3, -7, 2/7, 7/9 etc.

How many terms are in an expression?

A Term is either a single number or a variable, or numbers and variables multiplied together. So, now we can say things like "that expression has only two terms", or "the second term is a constant", or even "are you sure the coefficient is really 4?"

Is unfixed a real word?

verb (used with object), un·fixed or un·fixt, un·fix·ing. to render no longer fixed; unfasten; detach; loosen; free. to unsettle, as the mind, traditions, or habits.

What does inconstancy mean?

Inconstancy means changeability, not sticking to a predetermined course. Inconstancy is a word often associated with love––if someone promises to love you forever in eighth grade but ends up falling for someone else in ninth, their behavior testifies to the inconstancy of their love.

What does Fluctuance mean?

Fluctuance can be described as a tense area of skin with a wave-like or boggy feeling upon palpation; this is the pus which has accumulated beneath the epidermis. Without adequate evacuation of this pus, the infection will continue to to accumulate and can lead to disseminated or systemic infection.

What is the example of non uniform acceleration?

Example of Non Uniform Motion:

If a car covers 10 meters in first two seconds, and 15 meters in next two seconds. The motion of a train.

What is an example of uniform acceleration?

We all know that acceleration is the rate at which velocity of an object changes with respect to time. ... Some uniform accelerated motion examples include a ball rolling down a slope, a skydiver jumping out of a plane, a ball dropped from the top of a ladder and a bicycle whose brakes have been engaged.

What is negative acceleration?

Mathematically, a negative acceleration means you will subtract from the current value of the velocity, and a positive acceleration means you will add to the current value of the velocity. ... And if the acceleration points in the opposite direction of the velocity, the object will be slowing down.

Is zero a continuous function?

f(x)=0 is a continuous function because it is an unbroken line, without holes or jumps. All numbers are constants, so yes, 0 would be a constant.

Which function is always continuous?

The most common and restrictive definition is that a function is continuous if it is continuous at all real numbers. In this case, the previous two examples are not continuous, but every polynomial function is continuous, as are the sine, cosine, and exponential functions.

How do you know if a function is continuous or discontinuous?

A function being continuous at a point means that the two-sided limit at that point exists and is equal to the function's value. Point/removable discontinuity is when the two-sided limit exists, but isn't equal to the function's value.

What is an idiosyncratic effect?

Idiosyncratic drug reactions may be defined as adverse effects that cannot be explained by the known mechanisms of action of the offending agent, do not occur at any dose in most patients, and develop mostly unpredictably in susceptible individuals only.

What are drugs side effects?

Side effects, also known as adverse events, are unwanted or unexpected events or reactions to a drug. Side effects can vary from minor problems like a runny nose to life-threatening events, such as an increased risk of a heart attack.

What is a good therapeutic response?

A therapeutic response is a consequence of a medical treatment of any kind, the results of which are judged to be desirable and beneficial. This is true whether the result was expected, unexpected, or even an unintended consequence of the treatment.
